One of their favourite activities: bathing in and eating hanging celery on a hot (or not so hot) day 😊 For those who wonder: Peanut, the nakey budgie, was rescued with his flock of 18 from a patio cage, when he was a youngster. There were nest boxes along with the overcrowding, few perches and only seed and some dirty water. A number of them were plucking and being plucked. While Peanut is happy now and no longer plucks, sadly the damage seems to have been permanent. | Little Beaks

They may have been bred to showcase a rainbow of different colours, but the original green and yellow budgies will always have a special place. Seeing these guys enjoying stripping the bark and playing with native Aussie foliage is bliss. The lines around their dark eyes (their iris rings) indicate they're mature budgies, and the pinning and head bobbing shows their excitement and affection for each other.
